SBA Referee Courses - July & Aug

The Southland Basketball Association is offering two great referee courses this month - more information below and on the Referee page of our website.

Community Referee Course

The SBA is offering a Community Referee training course. This course is for those who are considered ‘senior “referees in the SBA system. This is an important qualification/ refresher and update for all A Grade and Secondary School referees and players .

Where: Sport Southland – Large meeting room

When: Wednesday 26 July 2017

Time: 6:00 – 8:00pm

Facilitator: Jill Bolger

Pre-registration would be appreciated to allow for the preparation of training materials.

Kiwi Hoops Referee Course

The SBA is offering a Kiwi Hoops Referee training course for people who would like to become basketball referees. This course is aimed at beginner referees who do not necessarily have to have any basketball experience. Some knowledge of the game is of course helpful.

There is no cost for this training and all participants who continue to referee will be provided with all training materials, a whistle and a refereeing shirt.

When: Thursday 27 July and Thursday 3 August 2017

Time: 6.00 - 8.00pm both nights
